In Saturday's United Soccer League regular-season opener for both clubs, Kevin Oliveira (PK-48') and Daniel Salloi (90') each scored a goal as Swope Park Rangers, USL affiliate of Sporting Kansas City, defeated visiting Portland Timbers 2 by a score of 2-1.
Next game for the Portland Timbers' USL affiliate will take place this coming Saturday at Merlo Field in Portland at 7:00 PM against Vancouver Whitecaps FC 2.
The USL represents the third level of soccer in both the United States and Canada.
