NCAA West: Ducks Topple Duke, Get Shot At Sooners For Houston Trip

Both games in the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament's West Regional were played on Thursday at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California.

In the opener, Jordan Woodard scored 22 points while Buddy Hield added 17 (to go with his ten rebounds for his first double-double of the season) as the second-seeded Oklahoma Sooners (28-7) defeated the third-seeded Texas A & M Aggies (28-9) 77-63 to advance to their first Elite Eight since 2009.

Five Sooners scored in double figures.

In the nightcap, Dillon Brooks scored 22 points as the top-seeded Oregon Ducks (31-6) dethroned fourth-seeded and defending national champions Duke (25-11) 82-68 for their first Elite Eight appearance since 2007.

Brandon Ingram paced the Blue Devils with 24 points.

Oregon and Oklahoma will play in the West Regional final in Anaheim on Saturday (3:09 PM Pacific Time, CBS) for a berth in the Final Four, something the Sooners have not reach since 2002 and the Ducks since 1939, when they won the first NCAA national title.
