At Las Vegas:
The quarterfinal round of the Pacific-12 Conference Men's Basketball Tournament took place on Thursday with four games at the MGM Grand Arena in nearby Paradise, Nevada.
Game #1:
Elgin Cook and Chris Boucher (who grabbed eleven rebounds) each scored 19 points in the opening contest as the top-seeded Oregon Ducks (#8 in the Associated Press poll, #9 in the USA Today/Coaches rankings; 26-6) held off the eighth-seeded Washington Huskies (18-14) 83-77.
Game #2:
Allonzo Trier scored 23 points while Ryan Anderson added 17 (to go with his eleven rebounds) as the fourth-seeded Arizona Wildcats (#15 in the Associated Press poll, #14 in the USA Today/Coaches rankings; 25-7) held off the fifth-seeded Colorado Buffaloes (22-11) 82-78.
George King paced CU with 23 points.
Game #3:
Kyle Kuzma scored 23 points to lead the second-seeded Utah Runnin' Utes (#12 in both the Associated Press and USA Today/Coaches polls; 25-7) to an 80-72 victory over the #7-seeded Southern California Trojans (21-12).
Jordan McLaughlin topped the Trojans with 24 points.
Game #4
In Thursday's finale, Ivan Rabb scored 21 points and grabbed 15 rebounds as the third-seeded California Golden Bears (#24 in both the Associated Press and USA Today/Coaches polls; 23-9) held off the sixth-seeded Oregon State Beavers (19-12) 76-68.
Jabari Bird added 20 points to the Bears' coffers.
Derrick Bruce paced the Beavers with 25 points while Gary Payton II added 20 while grabbing 16 rebounds.
In Friday's semifinal contests, top-seeded Oregon will face fourth-seeded Arizona at 6:00 PM Pacific Time (Pac-12 Networks), then, at 8:30 PM, second-seeded Utah will take on third-seeded California (Fox Sports 1).
