Quakes Hold Off Timbers At Home

At San Jose, California:

Chris Wondolowski (30') and Quincy Amerikwa (45'+1) each scored a goal in the first half as the San Jose Earthquakes held off the visiting Portland Timbers 2-1 in Sunday Major League Soccer action.

Jack McInerney scored his first goal in a Timbers' jersey in the 88th minute.

The Timbers will return to the friendly confines of Portland's Providence Park for a match this coming Saturday night against Real Salt Lake at 7:30 PM Pacific Time. The match will be televised over the Timbers' broadcast network with Portland's KPTV as the flagship station.
