Beavers Hold Off Bruins On Road, Assure Themselves Of .500 Pac-12 Campagin, Keep NCAA Tourney Hopes Alive

At Los Angeles:

Stephen Thompson, Jr. scored all of his 23 points in the second half as the Oregon State Beavers (18-11 overall, 9-9 in Pac-12 play) held off a late UCLA rally and held off the Bruins (15-16, 6-12) on the road.

Gary Payton II, who delivered a monster dunk that sealed the Beavers' victory that helped their chances of reaching their first NCAA Tournament since 1990, scored 17 points, as did Olaf Schaftenaar.

Isaac Hamilton paced the Bruins with 21 points.
