Farewell To The Original Princess Leia
Carrie Fisher, the actress best remembered for portraying Princess Leia in the original series of Star Wars movies, passed away on Tuesday morning at a Los Angeles hospital, several days after suffering a massive heart attack on a flight from London to Los Angeles.
Miss Fisher, who was 60 years old, never regained consciousness after suffering the heart attack.

Ducks Climb Up Two Spots To #22 In Both Polls
After stretching their current winning streak to six games on Sunday by defeating Alabama, the Oregon Ducks climbed up two spots to #22 in the latests Associated Press and USA Today/Coaches men's college basketball polls that were released on Monday.
Again, as has been the all season long thus far, none of the Beaver State's three other NCAA Division I men's basketball programs received any support in either poll.

John Glenn, First American To Orbit The Earth, Later Served As US Senator, R.I.P.
John Glenn, who in 1962 became the first American to orbit the Earth (he was the last remaining surviving Astronaut from this country's Mercury space project) who later served 24 years (1975-99) as US Senator from Ohio, passed away on Thursday at age 95 at Colombus, Ohio.
