Chris Duarte scored 30 points and grabbed eleven rebounds as the Oregon Ducks (#12 AP, #13 Coaches; 16-4 overall, 5-2 in Pac-12 play) outscored the visiting Southern California Trojans 12-3 in the second overtime period to post a 79-70 Thursday home victory.

Payton Prtichard added 24 points to the Ducks' coffers while dishing out seven assists.

Onyeka Okongwu topped the Trojans (15-4, 4-2)with 23 points while grabbing 14 rebounds.

Holiday Bowl: Hawkeyes Too Much For Trojans

At San Diego:

Ihmir Smith-Marsette scored three touchdowns on Friday as the Iowa Hawkeyes (#16; 10-3) ran roughshod over the Southern California Trojans (#22; 8-5) 49-24 in the Holiday Bowl.

Onyeka Okongwu scored 20 points and grabbed ten rebounds on Friday night as the Southern California Trojans (2-0) held off the visiting Portland Pilots (1-1) 76-65.

After a slow start, quarterback Justin Herbert completed 21 of 25 passes for 225 yards and three touchdowns on Saturday night as the Oregon Ducks (#7 AP, #8 Coaches; 8-1 overall, 6-0 overall) engineered runs of 21 and 35 unanswered points en route to a 56-24 road demolition of the Southern California Trojans (5-4, 4-2) to stay alive for a shot at a berth in the upcoming College Football Playoff.

The victory was the eighth straight for the Ducks.

ZONA TOP TROJANS FOR PAC-12 TOURNEY TITLE AND AUTOMATIC NCAA TOURNEY BERTH

The top-seeded Arizona Wildcats (#15 in the Associated Press and #16 in the USA Today/Coaches polls; 27-7), thanks to the tournament's Most Outstanding Player Deandre Ayton's 32 points and 18 rebounds,  defeated the second-seeded Southern California Trojans (23-11) 75-61 in Saturday championship game of the Pac-12 Conference Men's Basketball Tournament, contested at the T-Mobile Arena in suburban Las Vegas.

The Wildcats earned the conference's automatic NCAA Tournament berth.

The chances are still good for the Trojans to make the Field of 68 as well.

Elijah Stewart scored 28 points on Saturday night as the Southern California Trojans (19-9 overall, 10-5 in Pac-12 play) defeated the visiting Oregon State Beavers (13-13, 5-9) 72-59.

Chimezie Metu, who scored 18 points and grabbed ten rebounds---scored the game-winning layup with 0.4 seconds remaining on Thursday as the Southern California Trojans (18-9 overall, 9-5 in Pac-12 play) upended the visiting Oregon Ducks (17-9, 7-6) 72-70.

The victory was the Ducks' 14th in a row over the Trojans, whose five game winning ran came to an end.

Shaqquan Aaron scored 21 points on Thursday night as the Southern California Trojans (21-4 overall, 8-4 in Pac-12 play) racked up their fifth consecutive conference victory by dominating the visiting Oregon State Beavers (4-21, 0-12) 92-66.

The Beavers have now dropped 12 straight games and 18 of their last 19.
