With the cancellation of the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament, the Oregon Ducks ranked #13 in the final Associated Press college basketball poll released on Wednesday.

The Ducks finished 14th in the USA Today/Coaches poll that was released on Monday.

It's Official: Labor Peace Until At Least 2030

It's likely, now that the NFL players have approved the new collective bargaining agreement, that the playoffs will expand from 12 to 14 teams (seven in each conference with only the top seed receiving a first-round bye) in 2020 and that there will be 17 regular-season games (and one fewer pre-season game) beginning as early as 2021.

The top-seeded Oregon Ducks were supposed to play the eighth-seeded Oregon State Beavers in a quarterfinal-round contest at 12:00 Noon Pacific Time.

Does that mean the Ducks will go to the NCAA Tourney?

The plug was also pulled on the Big Sky Conference Tourney as well.

At Paradise, Nevada (T-Mobile Arena):

The Pac-12 Conference's men's basketball tournament is set to commence on Wednesday with four games, all to be telecast on the Pac-12 Networks.

Game #1:

Tres Tinkle scored 19 points as the Oregon State Beavers (#8 seed; 18-13) held off the ninth-seeded Utah Runnin' Utes (16-15) 71-69.

Alfonso Plummer topped the Utes with 35 points.

Game #2:

Josh Green scored 19 points as the fifth-seeded Arizona Wildcats, with four players scoring in double figures, outlasted the 12th-seeded Washington Huskies 77-70.

Isaiah Stewart paced the game Huskies with 29 points while pulling down 12 rebounds.

Game #3:

Paris Austin and Matt Bradley each scored 18 points and grabbed six rebounds as the tenth-seeded California Golden Bears (14-18) upset the seventh-seeded Stanford Cardinal (20-12) 63-51, perhaps delivering the knockout blow to the Cardinal's NCAA Tournament chances.

Game #4:

In the final Pac-12 Tournament game to be played in front of fans due to concerns over the coronavirus outbreak, C.J. Elleby scored 30 points and grabbed 10 rebounds as the 12th-seeded Washington State Cougars (16-16) knocked off the fifth-seeded Colorado Buffaloes (21-11) 82-68.

McKinley Wright IV topped the Buffs with 21 points while grabbing nine boards.

Big Sky Tourney: Hornets, T-Birds, Bengals Advance To Quarterfinals

At Boise, Idaho (CenturyLink Arena):

The Big Men's Conference's men's basketball tournament opened on Wednesday with three first-round games.

Game #1:

Izayah Mauriohooho-Le'afa (who grabbed ten rebounds) and Osi Nwachukwu each scored 16 points as the ninth-seeded Sacramento State Hornets (16-14) knocked off the eighth-seeded Weber State Wildcats (12-20) 62-54 in the opening game of the tournament.

Jerrick Harding scored 31 points to pace the Wildcats in their season finale.

Game #2:

Dre Marin scored 19 points to guide the seventh-seeded Southern Utah Thunderbirds (17-15) to a 75-69 victory over the Idaho Vandals (#10 seed; 8-24), despite a 35-point, eight-rebound performance from the Vandals' Trevor Allen.

Game #3:

Austin Smellie scored 16 points while Cheir Maker added 15 (to go with his 12 rebounds) as the eleventh-seeded Idaho State Bengals (8-22), who finished tied for last place in conference play during the regular season, shocked the sixth-seeded Northern Arizona Lumberjacks (16-14) 64-62.

Following their home victories over California and Stanford that locked up the Pac-12 Conference's regular-season title, the Oregon Ducks remained steady at #13 in both the Associated Press and USA Today/Coaches men's college basketball polls that were released on Monday.

WCC Tourney Semifinals: Zags, Gaels Advance To Final

At Paradise, Nevada:

The semifinal round of the West Coast Conference's men's basketball tournament took place on Monday at the Orleans Arena in suburban Las Vegas with two games.

Game #1:

Killian Tillie scored 19 points and grabbed 10 rebounds as the top-seeded Gonzaga Bulldogs (30-2) held off the fifth-seeded San Francisco Dons (22-12) 81-77.

Game #2:

Jordan Ford, who scored 18 points, hit the game-winning basket with 1.4 seconds remaining to lift the third-seeded Saint Mary's Gaels (26-7) past the second-seeded BYU Cougars (24-8) 51-20.

Yoeli Childs scored 23 points to top the Cougars while grabbing ten rebounds.

Timbers Hold Off Nashville For First Victory Of Season

At Portland, Oregon:

Diego Valeri delivered the only goal of the match in the 12th minute on Sunday as the Portland Timbers defeated visiting Nashville 1-0 for their first Major League Soccer victory of the season.

This coming Sunday, the Timbers will visit the New England Revolution at 10:30 AM Pacific Time (ROOT Sports Northwest).

Jahlil Tripp scored 29 points to top the Tigers while grabbing 14 rebounds.

In the nightcap, Jordan Ford scored 42 points to carry the third-seeded Saint Mary's Gaels (25-7) to an 89-82 overtime victory over sixth-seeded Pepperdine (16-16)

Colbey Ross scored 43 points while Kessler Edwards added 21 (to go with his 10 rebounds) to pace the Waves.

Rufat Dadashov scored a hat trick (13', 24', 65') as Phoenix Rising FC destroyed visiting Portland Timbers 2 by a 6-1 count on Saturday to open the USL Championship season in the regular season opener for both clubs.

T2 will pay a visit on the El Paso Locomotive this coming Saturday at 6:30 PM Pacific Time (ESPN+).

Vikings Close Out Regular Season On Six-Game Winning Streak

Game #1:

Charles Minlend scored 11 of his 16 points in the second half as the San Francisco Dons (#5 seed; 21-11) whacked the Loyola Marymount Lions (#8 seed; 11-21) 82-53.

Game #2:

Kemeron Edwards scored 21 points and grabbed 16 rebounds as the Pepperdine Waves (#6 seed; 16-15), with all five starters scoring in double figures, downed the seventh-seeded Santa Clara Broncos (21-13).

Tres Tinkle scored 23 points on Thursday to become Oregon State's all-time scoring leader with 2,190 points as the Beavers (16-13 overall, 6-11 in Pac-12 play) snapped their four-game losing streak by knocking off the visiting Stanford Cardinal (20-10, 9-8) 68-65.

Ducks Make Hamburger Out Of Cal Bears

At Eugene, Oregon:

Payton Pritchard scored 20 points and dished out nine assists on Thursday night as the Oregon Ducks (#13 AP, Coaches; 23-7 overall, 12-5 in Pac-12 play) demolished the visiting California Golden Bears (13-17, 7-10) 90-56.

The Ducks have now won 21 straight home games.

Game One:

Keli Leaupepe scored 23 points and grabbed ten rebounds as the #8-seeded Loyola Marymount Lions (11-20) outdistanced the ninth-seeded San Diego Toreros (9-23) 75-61.

Game Two:

D. J. Mitchell scored 17 points as the seventh-seeded Santa Clara Broncos (20-11) popped the tenth-seeded Portland Pilots (9-23) 76-62.

The Pilots dropped their last 15 (and 20 of 21) games of the season after an 8-3 start.

Timbers Drop Season At Home Against Loons

At Portland, Oregon:

Kevin Molino scored twice (51', 78') and Luis Amarilla once (76') as Minnesota United upended the home-standing Portland Timbers 3-1 in Sunday's Major League Soccer regular-season opener for both clubs.

Diego Valeri converted a penalty kick in the 56th minute for the lone Portland score.

The Timbers will have their first encounter with expansionist Nashville SC at home next Sunday at 4:00 PM Pacific Time on ESPN.
