First Responder Bowl: Canceled Due To Severe Weather Threat

At Dallas:

So much for Boise State's first appearance at Dallas' famed Cotton Bowl Stadium as Wednesday's scheduled First Responders Bowl between the 25th-ranked Broncos (10-3) and the Boston College Eagles (7-5) was called off due to a severe weather threat, a first for a bowl game.

The contest was called off after a delay of nearly 90 minutes with the Eagles leading 7-0 with 5:08 remaining in the opening period.

The Broncos' ranking was in the last College Football Playoff rankings.

Drake Kulick ran one yard for the game-winning touchdown with 3:09 remaining on Wednesday as the Iowa Hawkeyes (8-5) defeated the Boston College Eagles (7-6) 27-20 in the Pinstripe Bowl.

After Christian Hackenberg threw a 10-yard touchdown pass in overtime to Kyle Carter, Sam Ficken added the game-winning extra point to carry the Penn State Nittany Lions (7-6), playing in their first bowl game in three years after their postseason ban was lifted earlier this season, edged the Boston College Eagles (7-6) in Saturday's Pinstripe Bowl.

Quarterback Matt Barkley threw touchdown passes to Stanley Havill on Southern California's first two possessions of the game and ran for a score in the fourth quarter as the Trojans (9-4) topped Boston College (8-5) 24-13 in the Emerald Bowl Saturday night.
