Beavers Blow Late Lead, Get Lassoed By Cowboys In Corvallis

 At Corvallis, Oregon:


Kenny Foster scored 19 points off the bench as the Wyoming Cowboys (3-1) closed out the game on a 10-2 run and upended the homestanding Oregon State Beavers (2-2) 76-73 on the road on Sunday.


Ethan Thompson led the Beavers with 20 points.

Arizona Bowl: Cowboys Rope Panthers In Tucson

At Tucson, Arizona:

In Tuesday's edition of the Arizona Bowl, quarterback Levi Williams threw for 234 yards and three touchdowns while running back Xazavian Valladay ran for 204 yards and another score as the Wyoming Cowboys (8-5) smoked the Georgia State Panthers (7-6) 38-17.

Famous Idaho Potato Bowl: Cowboys Lasso Chippewas

At Boise, Idaho:


Quarterback Josh Allen completed 11 of 19 passes for 154 yards and three touchdowns on Friday afternoon as the Wyoming Cowboys (8-5) hogtied the Central Michigan Chippewas (8-5) 37-14 in the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl.

Cowboys Top Beavers In Corvallis

At Corvallis, Oregon:

Hayden Dalton scored 22 points, 12 of them on four three-point buckets on Monday night as the Wyoming Cowboys (2-0) defeated the Oregon State Beavers (1-1) 75-66 on the road.

Justin James added 19 points and Alan Herndon 16 (who himself converted four three-point shots) to the Cowboys' coffers.

Tres Tinkle paced the Beavers with 20 points to go with his 14 rebounds and three steals.  Drew Eubanks added 17 to the OSU totals.

Running back Royce Freeman ran for 157 yards and three touchdowns on Saturday as the Oregon Ducks (3-0) demolished the Wyoming Cowboys (1-2) 49-13 on the road.

Poinsettia Bowl: BYU Holds Off Wyoming

At San Diego:

Quarterback Tanner Magnum threw for a touchdown and ran for another while Jamaal Williams ran 36 yards (of his 210) for another TD as the BYU Cougars (9-4) defeated the Wyoming Cowboys (8-6) 24-21 in Wednesday's edition of the San Diego County Credit Union Poinsettia Bowl.

The Cougars' Kai Nacua intercepted a pass from Cowboys quarterback Josh Allen late in the fourth quarter to squelch the Wyoming comeback and seal the win for BYU.

Ducks Overcome Sluggish Start, Bury Cowboys

At Eugene, Oregon:

Quarterback Marcus Mariota completed 19 of 23 passed for 221 yards and a pair of touchdowns and ran for two more scores as the Oregon Ducks (#2 in the Associated Press poll, #4 in the USA Today/Coaches rankings; 3-0) , despite trailing 7-0 at the end of the first quarter, reeled off 41 unanswered points as they throttled the visiting Wyoming Cowboys (2-1) 48-14 on Saturday.

New Mexico Bowl: Owls Get Bowl Season Going With Dominating Performance Against Wyoming

At Albuquerque, New Mexico:


Bernard Pierce ran for two touchdowns (one yard each) while quarterback Chris Coyer threw for 169 and a touchdowns as the Temple Owls (9-4) picked up only the second bowl win in their history, 37-15 over the Wyoming Cowboys (37-15) in Saturday's New Mexico Bowl as the 2011-12 bowl season commenced.

Cowboys Top Bulldogs In Overtime Thriller In Albuquerque

At Albuquerque, New Mexico:

The college football bowl season got under way on Saturday as Wyoming (7-6) defeated Fresno State (8-5) 35-28 in the New Mexico Bowl. Cowboys freshman quarterback Austyn Carta-Samuels threw a 13-yard touchdown pass to David Leonard in the second overtime period.
