Military Bowl: Heels Fricassee Owls

At Annapolis, Maryland:

Quarterback Sam Howell completed 25 of 34 passes for 294 yards and three touchdowns (and catching a pass for another score) on Friday afternoon as the North Carolina Tar Heels (7-6) destroyed the Temple Owls (8-5) 55-13 in the Military Bowl.

Independence Bowl: Blue Devils Roast Owls In Shreveport

At Shreveport, Louisiana:

Daniel Jones threw for 423 yards and five touchdowns on Thursday as the Duke Blue Devils (8-5) blasted the Temple Owls (8-5) 56-27 in the Independence Bowl.

The Blue Devils scored the game's last 42 points.

Gasparilla Bowl: Owls Too Much For Tarnished Golden Panthers

At St. Petersburg, Florida:

Quarterback Frank Nuttle threw for 254 yards and a touchdown (a 45-yarder to Isaiah Wright) while running four yards for another score on Thursday as the Temple Owls (6-5) dominated the Florida International Golden Panthers (8-5) 28-3 in the Gasparilla Bowl.

Military Bowl: Demon Deacons Hold Off Temple Owls

At Annapolis, Maryland:

The Wake Forest Demon Deacons (7-6) held off the 
Temple Owls (10-4; #24 in the CFP Rankings and USA Today/Coaches poll, #23 in the Associated Press poll) 34-26 in Tuesday's Military Bowl.

The Demon Deacons racked up their first bowl victory since 2008.

Boca Raton Bowl: Rockets Top Temple In Soggy Florida

At Boca Raton, Florida:

Quarterback Phillip Ely threw for 285 yards (on 20-of-28 passing)and a pair of touchdowns (one of them, an 80-yarder to Cody Thompson) as the Toledo Rockets (10-2) downed the Temple Owls (#24 in the final College Football Playoff rankings; 10-4) 32-17 in Tuesday's rain-plagued Boca Raton Bowl.

New Mexico Bowl: Owls Get Bowl Season Going With Dominating Performance Against Wyoming

At Albuquerque, New Mexico:


Bernard Pierce ran for two touchdowns (one yard each) while quarterback Chris Coyer threw for 169 and a touchdowns as the Temple Owls (9-4) picked up only the second bowl win in their history, 37-15 over the Wyoming Cowboys (37-15) in Saturday's New Mexico Bowl as the 2011-12 bowl season commenced.

Bruins Come Back To Take EagleBank Bowl

At Washington:

Akeem Ayers returned an interception two yards for the go-ahead touchdown in the fourth quarter as UCLA (7-6) came back to overtake Temple (9-4) 30-21 Tuesday in the EagleBank bowl. The Bruins finished their first winning season in three years while the Owls played in their first bowl game in 30 years.
