Daniel Jones threw for 423 yards and five touchdowns on Thursday as the Duke Blue Devils (8-5) blasted the Temple Owls (8-5) 56-27 in the Independence Bowl.

Temple Owls (10-4; #24 in the CFP Rankings and USA Today/Coaches poll, #23 in the Associated Press poll) 34-26 in Tuesday's Military Bowl.

New Mexico Bowl: Owls Get Bowl Season Going With Dominating Performance Against Wyoming

Bernard Pierce ran for two touchdowns (one yard each) while quarterback Chris Coyer threw for 169 and a touchdowns as the Temple Owls (9-4) picked up only the second bowl win in their history, 37-15 over the Wyoming Cowboys (37-15) in Saturday's New Mexico Bowl as the 2011-12 bowl season commenced.

Bruins Come Back To Take EagleBank Bowl

Akeem Ayers returned an interception two yards for the go-ahead touchdown in the fourth quarter as UCLA (7-6) came back to overtake Temple (9-4) 30-21 Tuesday in the EagleBank bowl. The Bruins finished their first winning season in three years while the Owls played in their first bowl game in 30 years.
