Holland Woods a career-high 39 points (while converting all 21 free throws) on Thursday night as the Portland State Vikings (11-12 overall, 5-6 in Big Sky play) held off the visiting Montana Grizzlies (11-10, 7-3) 88-81.

Ducks Turn Griz Into Bear Rugs

At Eugene, Oregon:

Payton Pritchard and Will Richardson (from off the bench) each scored 14 points while Francis Okoro grabbed 17 rebounds (to go with his 12 points) as the Oregon Ducks (#8 AP, #10 Coaches; 9-2), with five players scoring in double figures,  demolished the visiting Montana Grizzlies (4-6) 81-48.

Quarterback Justin Herbert completed 30 of 42 passes for 316 yards and five touchdowns on Saturday night as the Oregon Ducks (2-1; #15 AP, #17 Coaches) dominated the visiting Montana Grizzlies (FCS; 2-1) 35-3 to close out non-conference play.

Holland Woods scored 20 points on Thursday night as the Portland State Vikings (15-15 overall, 10-9 in Big Sky play) upended the visiting Montana Grizzlies (22-8, 15-4) 81-69.

Sayeed Pridgett scored 23 of his 28 points in the second half to pace the Grizzlies.

Vikings Upend Griz In Missoula In OT ThrillerH

At Missoula, Montana:

Holland Woods, who scored 28 points, hit two clutch free throws on Saturday as the Portland State Vikings (6-8 overall, 1-2 in Big Sky play) snapped their five-game losing streak by knocking off the Montana Grizzlies (10-5, 3-1) 77-74 in overtime.

Kendal Manuel paced the Grizzlies with 22 points (hitting all ten free throws).

It was the Vikings' first victory in Missoula since 2008---when they skewered the Griz in their biggest margin of victory ever over a Division I opponent (108-56).

GRIZ OVERPOWER EAGLES, CAPTURE BIG SKY TOURNEY TITLE AND NCAA TOURNEY BERTH

At Reno, Nevada:

The top-seeded Montana Grizzlies (26-7), with Michel Oguine scoring 21 points,  defeated the third-seeded Eastern Washington Eagles (20-14) 82-65 in Saturday's championship game of the Big Sky Conference Men's Basketball Tournament, contested at the Reno Events Center.

The Grizzlies gained the Big Sky's automatic NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament berth (the Griz will be making their first such appearance since 2013).

Jamar Akoh scored 21 points and grabbed ten rebounds on Thursday night as the Montana Grizzlies (19-5 overall, 12-0 in Big Sky play) collected their 12th straight win, 80-60 over the visiting Portland State Vikings (14-10, 4-7).

Calaen Robinson and Zach Gengler each scored 15 points on Thursday as the Portland State Vikings (11-6 overall, 4-2 in Big Sky play) used balanced scoring in their 88-79 home victory over Montana (10-10, 5-2).

Ahmaad Rorie scored 29 points and Fabijan Krslovic added 24 to pace the Grizzlies.

Chris Boucher scored 23 points and grabbed a career-high 19 rebounds on Tuesday as the Oregon Ducks (9-2; #22 in both the Associated Press and USA Today/Coaches polls) held off the visiting Montana Grizzlies (3-8) 81-67 for their seventh straight victory and 32nd at home, now the third longest such winning streak in the nation.

At Reno, Nevada:

Jeremy Senglin scored 20 points on Saturday night as the top-seeded Weber State Wildcats (26-8) held off the second-seeded Montana Grizzlies (21-11) 62-59 in the Big Sky Conference Men's Basketball Tournament's championship game.

Martin Bruenig paced the Grizzlies with 20 points.

The Wildcats wrapped up their tenth Big Sky Conference title with the victory and locked up the conference's automatic NCAA Tournament berth.

Isaiah Pinero paced the Vikings with 20 points.

EAGLES KNOCK OFF GRIZZLIES IN MISSOULA, WIN BIG SKY TITLE AND NCAA TOURNEY BERTH

At Missoula, Montana:

Tyler Harvey scored 18 points as the second-seeded Eastern Washington Eagles (26-8) defeated the top-seeded Montana Grizzlies (20-12) 69-65 on Saturday night to win the championship game of the Big Sky Conference Men's Basketball Tournament, despite a 23-point, 17-rebound performance from the Grizzlies' Martin Breunig.

With the victory, the Eagles gained the Big Sky Conference's automatic NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament berth.

Grizzlies Smother Vikings In Portland

At Portland, Oregon:

Martin Breunig scored 23 points while Jordan Gregory added 15 on Thursday as the Montana Grizzlies (11-8 overall, 7-1 in Big Sky play) dominated the home-standing Portland State Vikings (10-9, 4-5) 73-54, completing a rough two days for the Beaver State's four men's Division I basketball programs, all losing by double digits.

Grizzlies Snap Vikings Four-Game Winning Streak With OT Win At Home

At Missoula, Montana:

Keron DeShields (who scored eleven of his points in overtime) and Kareem Jamar each scored 19 points on Thursday as the Montana Grizzlies snapped the Portland State Vikings' four-game winning streak with an 82-76 home victory, offsetting a 25-point, 12-rebound performance from the Vikings' Kyle Richardson (formerly from Long Beach).  Both teams are now 11-9 overall and 6-5 in Big Sky Conference play.

Vikings Knock Off Grizzlies In 3OT Thriller

At Portland, Oregon:

Gary Winston scored 21 points off the bench, including the game-winning three-point basket with four seconds remaining in the third overtime period on Saturday as the Portland State Vikings (6-7 overall, 1-3 in Big Sky play) racked up their first conference win of the season with a 81-78 home win over the Montana Grizzlies (6-7, 1-3).  Marcus Hall also scored 21 for the Vikings while Jordan Gregory tallied 25 to pace the Grizzlies.
