Running back Donnel Pumphrey ran for 115 yards and a touchdown on Saturday as he became the all-time leading career rusher in FBS history (6,405 yards) en route to becoming the game's Most Valuable Player as the San Diego State Aztecs (11-3) overcame a 10-0 second-quarter deficit with 34 unanswered points in overpowering the Houston Cougars (9-4; playing their first game for new head coach Major Applewhite) 34-10 in the Las Vegas Bowl.
