Carrie Fisher, the actress best remembered for portraying Princess Leia in the original series of Star Wars movies, passed away on Tuesday morning at a Los Angeles hospital, several days after suffering a massive heart attack on a flight from London to Los Angeles.
Miss Fisher, who was 60 years old, never regained consciousness after suffering the heart attack.
Carrie was the daughter of fellow actress Debbie Reynolds and her then-husband, singer Eddie Fisher.
