Quick Lane Bowl: Panthers Edge Eagles In Bizzaro Bowl

At Detroit:

Quarterback Kenny Pickett completed 27 of 39 passes for 361 yards and three touchdowns (including the game winner from  25 yards out to Taysir Mack with 47 seconds remaining) on Thursday night as the Pittsburgh Panthers (8-5) edged out the Eastern Michigan Eagles (6-7) 34-30 in a Quick Lane Bowl that was marred by an altercation in the final seconds.

Eagles quarterback Mike Glass was ejected with ten seconds remaining after throwing punches to two players and inadvertently grazing a game official.

Sun Bowl: Stanford Tops Pitt In El Paso

At El Paso, Texas:

Cameron Scarlett scored both touchdowns on Monday as the Stanford Cardinal (9-4) defeated the Pittsburgh Panthers (7-7) 14-13 in the latest edition of the Sun Bowl.

Pinstripe Bowl: Justin Jackson Runs Wild As Northwestern Knocks Off Pitt In The Bronx

At New York City:

Justin Jackson ran for 224 yards and three touchdowns on Wednesday as the Northwestern Wildcats (7-6) netted only their third-ever post-season victory, 31-24 over the Pittsburgh Panthers (8-5; #23 in both the CFP Rankings and Associated Press poll) in the Pinstripe Bowl.

Military Bowl: Home Triumph For Navy

At Annapolis, Maryland:

In his final college game, Keenan Reynolds threw for 126 yards and ran for 144 more, and added 47 more by receiving as he accounted for four touchdowns as Navy (#21 in the final College Football Playoff rankings; 11-2) defeated the Pittsburgh Panthers (8-5) 44-28 in Monday's Military Bowl, played at the Midshipmen's home field.

The Midshipmen completed their first-ever eleven-win season.

Armed Forces Bowl: Late Comeback Carries Cougars Past Pitt Panthers

At Fort Worth, Texas:

In Friday's edition of the Armed Forces Bowl, quarterback Greg Ward threw three touchdown passes in the final 3:41 of the game and completed the game-winning two-point conversion pass to Deontay Greenberry (who also caught a touchdown pass) as the Houston Cougars (8-5) shocked the Pittsburgh Panthers (6-7) 35-34.  Two of the Cougars' fourth-quarter touchdowns came after they had successfully recovered onside kickoffs.

Little Caesars Pizza Bowl: Panthers Blow 14-Point Lead, Battle Back, Top Falcons

At Detroit:

James Connor ran for 229 yards (a new school single-game bowl record) and a touchdown while Chris Blewitt kicked three field goals, including the game winner from 39 yards out with 77 seconds remaining as the Pittsburgh Panthers (7-6) rebounded from blowing a 17-point lead and defeated the Bowling Green Falcons (10-4) in Thursday's Little Caesars Pizza Bowl.

BBVA Compass Bowl: Ole Miss Dominates Pitt

At Birmingham, Alabama:

Bo Wallace threw for three touchdowns on Saturday as the Ole Miss Rebels (7-6) dominated the Pittsburgh Panthers (6-7) 38-17 in the BBVA Compass Bowl.

The game was the Panthers' finale as a Big East Conference team.  Pittsburgh joins the Atlantic Coast Conference next season.

CBI: Panthers Claw Past Cougs, Square Series At One Game Apiece

At Pittsburgh:


Talib Zanna scored 14 points while Nasir Robinson and Lamar Patterson each added 10 as The Pittsburgh Panthers (21-17)  squared their best-of-three College Basketball Invitational championship series at a game apiece with their 57-53 Wednesday night home win in game two against the Washington State Cougars (19-17). The title will be decided in Pittsburgh on Friday.

CBI: Cougars Nudge Panthers In Series Opener

At Pullman, Washington:

The Washington State Cougars (19-16) shot 51% from the field (and 9 of 15 from three-point range) as they edged the visiting Pittsburgh Panthers (20-17) 67-66 on Monday night in the opening game of the best-of-three final of the College Basketball Invitational.  Abe Lodwick scored 16 points to pace the Cougars while Reggie Moore added 14 and DaVonte Lacy added 10.  The Cougars can lock up the CBI title with a win at Pittsburgh on Wednesday.

BBVA Compass Bowl: SMU Mustangs Too Much For Pitt Panthers

At Birmingham, Alabama:


J. J. MeDermott threw for a touchdown (50 yards to Darius Johnson) and ran one yard for another score, both taking part during a 21-point first quarter as the Southern Methodist University Mustangs (8-5) dominated the Pittsburgh Panthers (6-7) 28-6 in Saturday's BBVA Compass Bowl.  The win marked Mustangs' head coach June Jones III's 100th win as a college coach.

Pittsburgh (8-5) defeated Kentucky (6-7) 27-10 in Saturday's BBVA Compass Bowl.  The Panthers scored two touchdowns off mistakes committed by the Wildcats' punting team.

Panthers Cap Off First 10+ Season Since '81 With Win Over Tar Heels

At Charlotte, North Carolina:

Running back Dion Lewis ran for 159 yards and a touchdown as Pittsburgh (10-3) capped off their first season with ten or more wins in 28 years with a 19-17 win over North Carolina (8-5) Saturday in the Meineke Car Care Bowl.
