Ducks Skewer Falcons To Open Season On Saturday

At Eugene, Oregon:

In Saturday's regular-season opener for both schools, quarterback Justin Herbert threw for five touchdowns and ran for another as the Oregon Ducks (#24 in the Associated Press college football poll) roasted the visiting Bowling Green Falcons 58-24.

GoDaddy Bowl: Eagles Dominate Second Half, Blow Out Falcons In Bowl Debut

At Mobile, Alabama:

Favian Upshaw ran for 199 yards and four touchdowns on Wednesday night as the Georgia Southern Eagles (9-4), in their first-ever bowl game as an FBS program, erupted for 35 points after trailing 27-23 at halftime and demolished the Bowling Green Falcons (10-4) 58-27 in the GoDaddy Bowl.

Raycom Media Camellia Bowl: Bowling Green Outduels South Alabama

At Montgomery, Alabama:

Quarterback Jame Knapke threw a 78-yard touchdown pass to Roger Lewis with 64 seconds remaining as the Bowling Green Falcons (8-6) defeated the South Alabama Jaguars (6-7) 33-28 in Saturday's inaugural edition of the Raycom Media Camellia Bowl, spoiling the Jags' first bowl game since the program was created in 2009.

Little Caesars Pizza Bowl: Panthers Blow 14-Point Lead, Battle Back, Top Falcons

At Detroit:

James Connor ran for 229 yards (a new school single-game bowl record) and a touchdown while Chris Blewitt kicked three field goals, including the game winner from 39 yards out with 77 seconds remaining as the Pittsburgh Panthers (7-6) rebounded from blowing a 17-point lead and defeated the Bowling Green Falcons (10-4) in Thursday's Little Caesars Pizza Bowl.

MAC CHAMPIONSHIP: FALCONS BASH HUSKIES, RUIN NIU'S BCS BOWL CHANCES

At Detroit:

Matt Johnson threw four of his career-high five touchdown passes in the first half as the Bowling Green Falcons (10-3) knocked off the previously-undefeated Northern Illinois Huskies (#14 in the Bowl Championship Series standings; #16 in the Associated Press poll, #18 in the USA Today/Coaches rankings; 12-1) 47-27 in the Mid-American Conference Championship Game on Friday, ending the Huskies' chances of playing in a BCS bowl game.

Miltary Bowl: Spartans Hold Off Falcons To Comlete First 11-Win Campaign Since 1940

At Washington:

Quarterback David Fales completed 33 of 43 passes for 395 yards and two touchdowns as the San Jose State Spartans (11-2; #24 in the Bowl Championship Series standings and in both the USA Today/Coaches and Associated Press polls) defeated Bowling Green (8-5) 29-20 in Thursday's Military Bowl.  The victory assured the Spartans of their first eleven-win season since 1940.

Vandals Pull Out Wild Win In Boise

At Boise, Idaho:

Quarterback Nathan Enderle, with four seconds remaining in regulation time, threw a 16-yard touchdown pass to Max Komar, then connected with Preston Davis on a successful two-point conversion attempt as Idaho (8-5) defeated Bowling Green (7-6) 43-42 Wednesday in the Roady's Humanitarian Bowl. The Falcons' Freddie Barnes caught 17 passes (giving him 155 for the year, a single-season FBS record) for 219 yards and three touchdowns, including a 51-yard touchdown reception from quarterback Tyler Sheehan that had put Bowling Green up 42-35 with 32 seconds left, before the Vandals' game-winning drive.
