Boca Raton Bowl: Owls Ride Herd Over Mustangs

At Boca Raton, Florida:

Quarterback Chris Robison completed 27 of 37 passes for 305 yards and two touchdowns as the Florida Atlantic Owls (11-3)----minute head coach Lane Kiffin, who left for the vacant head coaching job at Ole Miss----still dominated the Southern Methodist Mustangs (10-3) 52-28 in the Boca Raton Bowl.

Frisco Bowl: La Tech Bulldogs Turn SMU Mustangs Into Horse Meat

At Frisco, Texas:

Quarterback J'Mar Smith threw for three touchdowns and ran for another score on Wednesday night as the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs (7-6) demolished the error-prone Southern Methodist Mustangs (7-6) 51-10 in the Frisco Bowl.

Sheraton Hawaii Bowl: Defensive Performance Sparks Mustangs Past Bulldogs

At Honolulu:

Defensive end Margus Hunt forced two fumbles that set up field goals and sacked opposing quarterback Derek Carr in the end zone for a safety as the SMU Mustangs (7-6) dominated the Fresno State Bulldogs (9-4) 43-10 in Monday's Sheraton Hawaii Bowl.  Taylor Reed and Hayden Greenbauer returned interceptions of 69 and 83 yards respectively for Mustang touchdowns.

BBVA Compass Bowl: SMU Mustangs Too Much For Pitt Panthers

At Birmingham, Alabama:


J. J. MeDermott threw for a touchdown (50 yards to Darius Johnson) and ran one yard for another score, both taking part during a 21-point first quarter as the Southern Methodist University Mustangs (8-5) dominated the Pittsburgh Panthers (6-7) 28-6 in Saturday's BBVA Compass Bowl.  The win marked Mustangs' head coach June Jones III's 100th win as a college coach.

Black Knights Hold Off Mustangs In Dallas

At Dallas:

Josh McNary scooped up a fumble and returned it 55 yards for a touchdown as Army (7-6) held off Southern Methodist (7-7) 16-14 in Thursday's Armed Forces Bowl, clinching the Black Knights' first winning season since 1996.

Mustangs Trample Wolf Pack

At Honolulu:

Freshman quarterback Kyle Padron threw for a school record 460 yards and two touchdowns as Southern Methodist hammed Nevada 45-10 Thursday in the Sheraton Hawaii Bowl. This was the Mustangs' first bowl game in 25 years. Both teams finish the season at 8-5.
