'61 Studebaker Lark And That Skybolt 6 Engine



Here's a commercial for the 1961 Studebaker Lark with Rex May.  In this one, Rex touts the Lark's new "Skybolt" 6-cylinder engine.

It was actually Studebaker's old Champion 6 engine with the L-head replaced by an overhead valve.

You could elect have one with a V-8 engine instead.

Alice and the White Rabbit ad for Hudson Wasp Rambler



In another American Motors commercial that featured some Walt Disney animation, here are Alice (of "Alice in Wonderland" fame) and the White Rabbit in the opening seconds of this TV ad, as Alice complains about the ride in the Rabbit's automobile.

This commercial is for the 1955 Hudson Hornet, Wasp, and Rambler.

Here, we see Br'er Rabbit, Br'er Bear, and Br'er Fox, who appeared in the 1946 Walt Disney classic feature-length motion picture, "Song of the South," starring in a Disney-animated television commercial for the 1955 American Motors Rambler, available at Nash and Hudson dealers.
