In his first start of the season, Dillon Brooks scored 20 points as the Oregon Ducks (10-2; #22 in both the Associated Press and USA Today/Coaches polls) racked up their eighth straight victory, 83-63 over the UNLV Runnin' Rebels on Saturday night.

Ike Nwamu scored 19 points as the UNLV Runnin' Rebels (7-1) breezed past previously-undefeated Oregon (#15 in the Associated Press poll, #16 in the USA Today/Coaches rankings; 5-1) 80-69, despite 21 points from the visiting Ducks' Dwayne Benjamin.

Rebels Outlast Pilots In OT In Vegas

Rashad Vaughn scored 25 points while Christian Wood added 17 and Cody Doolin, whose diving layup at the end of overtime provided the victory, contributed 15 (on six of eight shooting) as the UNLV Runnin' Rebels (7-2) upended the visiting Portland Pilots (7-3) 75-71 on Wednesday night. Alex Wintering paced the Pilots with 24 points.

Heart of Dallas Bowl: Mean Green Too Mean For Runnin' Rebs

Quarterback Derek Thompson threw for 256 yards and two touchdowns (seven yards to Drew Miller, 34 yards to Darnell Smith) while Brelan Chancellor ran for two other scores (three and fifteen yards) as the North Texas Mean Green (9-4) broke open a game that was deadlocked at halftime and wound up dominating the UNLV Runnin' Rebels (7-6) 36-14 in Wednesday's Heart of Dallas Bowl.

Runnin' Rebels Too Much For Overmatched Vikings

Roscoe Smith (16 points and 10 rebounds) and Khem Birch (12 points and 17 rebounds) each delivered double-doubles on Friday as the UNLV Runnin' Rebels proved too much for the Portland State Vikings 67-48 in the regular-season opener for both schools.
