Pac-12 Tournament: Bears, Trojans, Buffaloes (Who Oust Beavers) Advance To Quarterfinals; Colorado To Get Crack At Ducks

The Pacific-12 Conference Men's Basketball Tournament commenced on Wednesday with four games played at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in suburban Las Vegas.

In the opening match, David Kravish scored 25 points as the eighth-seeded California Golden Bears (18-14) dominated the ninth-seeded Washington State Cougars (13-18) 84-59.

In game two, Elijah Stewart scored 27 points and hit two key free throws with 3.4 seconds remaining as the Southern California Trojans (12-19), who finished in the Pac-12 basement this season, came back from a 14-point deficit with nine minutes remaining and knocked off the fifth-seeded Arizona State Wildcats (17-15) 67-64.

In the third contest, Askia Booker scored 20 points while Josh Scott added 16 (to go with his 14 rebounds) as the tenth-seeded Colorado Buffaloes (15-16) defeated the seventh-seeded Oregon State Beavers (17-14) 78-71, despite 17 points each from the Beavers' Gary Payton II and Malcolm Duvivier.

In the finale, Chasson Randle, who scored 10 points, hit the game-winning three-pointer with 2.4. seconds remaining as the sixth-seeded Stanford Cardinal (19-12) defeated the #11-seeded Washington Huskies (16-15) 71-19.Stefan Nastic paced the Cardinal with 21 points while Andrew Andrews topped the Huskies with 22.
