Saturday saw three third-round games in the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament's West Region.
At Portland, Oregon:
T.J. McConnell and Gabe York (who converted five three-point shots) each scored 19 points as the second-seeded Arizona Wildcats (33-3) defeated the tenth-seeded Ohio State Buckeyes (24-11) 73-58.
At Jacksonville, Florida:
Jalen Reynolds scored 21 points as the sixth-seeded Xavier Musketeers (23-13) outlasted fourteenth-seeded Georgia State (25-10) 75-67. R.J. Hunter, the hero of the Panthers' Thursday upset victory over Baylor, paced the Sun Belt Conference champs with 20 points.
Marcus Paige scored 20 of his 22 points in the second half as the fourth-seeded North Carolina Tar Heels (26-11) locked up their 26th Sweet-Sixteen appearance with an 87-78 victory over the fifth-seeded Arkansas Razorbacks (27-9) despite 27 points and 10 rebounds from the Hogs' Michael Qualls.
