The semifinal round of the NCAA Men's Basketball
Tournament's West Regional was played on Thursday with both games contested at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.
In the opener, Sam Dekker scored 23 points and grabbed 10 rebounds while Frank Kaminsky added 19 and eight respectively as the top-seeded Wisconsin Badgers (34-3) came from behind to upend the fourth-seeded North Carolina Tar Heels (26-12) 79-72.
In the nightcap, T.J. McConnell scored 13 of his 17 points in the second half as the second-seeded Arizona Wildcats (34-3) overcame a second-half deficit by going on a game-ending 19-7 run and upended the sixth-seeded Xavier Musketeers (23-14) 68-60.
Arizona and Wisconsin will face each other in Saturday's West Regional Final in Los Angeles with the winner advancing to the Final Four at Indianapolis.
