At Charlotte, North Carolina:
Travis Trice scored 23 points as the #7-seeded Michigan State Spartans (25-11) knocked off the second-seeded Virginia Cavaliers (30-4) 60-54.
At Columbus, Ohio:
Jordan Woodard scored 16 points as the #3-seeded Oklahoma Sooners (24-10) defeated the #11-seeded Dayton Flyers (27-9) 72-66. Sooners head coach Lon Krueger became the second coach to pilot four different schools to the NCAA Tourney's Sweet Sixteen (Kansas State, Florida, UNLV).
At Seattle:
Terry Rozier scored 25 points as the #4-seeded Louisville Cardinals (26-8) defeated the #5-seeded Northern Iowa Panthers (31-4) 66-53.
