NCAA Midwest: Shockers, Mountaineers Advance To Sweet Sixteen

Two games were played in the Midwest Region of the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament on Sunday.

At Omaha, Nebraska:

Tekele Cotton scored 19 points while Fred VanVleet added 17 as the seventh-seeded Wichita State Shockers (30-4), with all five starters scoring in double-figures, knocked off the second-seeded Kansas Jayhawks (27-9) 78-65.

At Columbus, Ohio:

Devin Williams scored 16 points and grabbed ten rebounds as the fifth-seeded West Virginia Mountaineers (25-9) topped the fourth-seeded Maryland Terrapins (28-7) 69-59.
