NCAA Tournament: Colonials Erase Halftime Deficit, Upend Ospreys, Get Shot At Duke; Flyers Come Back, Knock Off Broncos, Get Shot At Providence

The opening round of the NCAA Men's Basketball Division I Tournament concluded on Wednesday with two games, both played at UD Arena in Dayton, Ohio:

In the opener, Lucky Jones scored 20 points while Rodney Pryor added 20 as the Robert Morris Colonials (20-14) overcame a six-point halftime deficit and overcame North Florida (23-12) 81-77, despite 28 points from the Ospreys' Beau Beech.  The Colonials will be the #16 seed when they take on top-seeded Duke on Friday at Charlotte, North Carolina in a South Region matchup.

In the First Four finale, Kendall Pollard scored 17 points as the Dayton Flyers (26-8), in front of a First Four-record 12,592 fans,  overcame a nine-point halftime deficit and knocked off the Boise State Broncos (25-9) 56-55, despite 23 points from the Broncos' Derrick Marks.  The Flyers, who despite playing on their home court were designated the visiting team, will be the #11 seed in the East Region and will take on #6-seeded Providence on Friday at Columbus, Ohio.
