Stanley Cup Playoffs: Sharks Complete Sweep Of Ducks; Penguins, Lighning, Predators One Win Away From Advancing

The Stanley Cup Playoffs continued on Wednesday with four games.


EASTERN CONFERENCE:


At Philadelphia:


Five players each scored once while Matt Murray stopped all 26 shots as the Pittsburgh Penguins rolled over the Philadelphia Flyers 5-0 on the road in game four of their conference quarterfinal series.

The Penguins, who now lead three games to one, can close out the series with a game-five win back home in Pittsburgh on Friday (4:00 PM Pacific Time, NBCSN).


At Newark, New Jersey:


Nikita Kucherov scored twice (once on an empty netter) while Andrei Vasilevskiy saved 27 of 28 shots as the Tampa Bay Lightning defeated the New Jersey Devils 3-1 on the road in game four to extend their first-round series lead to three games to one.

The Lightning can finish off the Devils with a game-five win back home in Tampa on Saturday (12:00 Noon Pacific Time, NBC/NBCSN [regional coverage]).






WESTERN CONFERENCE:


At Denver:


Filip Forsberg, Colton Sissons, and Craig Smith each tallied once as the Nashville Predators held off the Colorado Avalanche 3-2 in game four of their conference quarterfinal series.

The Predators, who now lead three games to one, can finish off the series with a game-five home win in Nashville on Friday (6:30 PM Pacific Time, NBCSN).


At San Jose, California:


Thomas Hertl scored the game-winning goal in the third period while Martin Jones saved 30 of 31 shots as the San Jose Sharks completed a four-game first-round series sweep of the Anaheim Ducks with a 2-1 game-four home victory.

The Sharks will next take on the Vegas Golden Knights in a conference semifinal series.
