Stanley Cup Playoffs: Jackets Upend Caps In DC In OT To Take 2-0 Series Lead; Penguins Dominate Flyers To Take 2-1 Series Lead; Wild Bomb Jets For First Win In Series; Golden Knights Put Kings On Cusp Of Elimination

The Stanley Cup Playoffs continued with four games on Saturday.


EASTERN CONFERENCE:


At Washington:


Matt Calvert scored the winning goal at 12:22 of overtime as the Columbus Blue Jackets won consecutive playoff games for the first time in franchise history by defeating the Washington Capitals 5-4 on the road in game two to stretch their conference quarterfinal series lead to two games to none.


At Philadelphia:


Sidney Crosby, Derick Brassard (power play), Evgeni Malkin (PP), Brian Dumoulin, and Justin Schultz (PP) each scored once while Matt Murray saved 26 of 27 shots as the Pittsburgh Penguins regained home-ice advantage in their first-round series by dominating the Philadelphia Flyers 5-1 on the road in game three for a 2-1 series lead.






WESTERN CONFERENCE:


At St. Paul, Minnesota:


Michael Granlund and Zach Parise each scored a first-period power-play goal while Devan Dubnyk saved 29 of 31 shots as the Minnesota Wild ran roughshod over the visiting Winnipeg Jets 6-2 to cut their conference quarterfinal series deficit to two games to one.


At Los Angeles:


James Neil and William Karlson each scored a third-period goal 21 seconds apart as the Vegas Golden Knights upended the Los Angeles Kings 3-2 on the road in game three of their opening-round series.


The Golden Knights can complete a four-game sweep of the Kings with a game-four victory in Los Angeles on Tuesday night (7:30 PM Pacific Time, NBCSN).
