NBA Playoffs: Celtics (In OT), Pacers (Who Shock Cavs In Cleveland), Thunder, Rockets Grab Series Openers

The NBA Playoffs continued on Sunday with four games.


EASTERN CONFERENCE:


At Boston:


Al Horford scored 24 points (while grabbing 12 rebounds) while Terry Rozier added 23, Marcus Morris 21 (off the bench), and Jaylen Brown 20 as the Boston Celtics held off the visiting Milwaukee Bucks 113-107 in overtime to take the opening game of their conference quarterfinal series.


Giannis Antetokounmpo paced the Bucks with 35 points (while grabbing 13 rebounds) while Khris Middleton added 31 to the Milwaukee coffers.


At Cleveland:


Victor Olapido scored 32 points as the Indiana Pacers shocked the Cleveland Cavaliers 98-80 on the road in the first game of their opening-round series.


LeBron James topped the Cavaliers with 24 points while grabbing 10 rebounds as he played on a series-opening losing team for the first time in his illustrious career.






WESTERN CONFERENCE:


At Oklahoma City:


Paul George scored 36 points while Russell Westbrook added 29 (to go with his 13 rebounds and eight assists) as the Oklahoma City Thunder took game one of their conference quarterfinal series by defeating the visiting Utah Jazz 116-108.


Donovan Mitchell, one of seven Jazz players to score in double figures, topped Utah with 27 points while grabbing 10 rebounds.


At Houston:


James Harden scored 44 points while Clint Capela added 24 (to go with his 12 rebounds) as the Houston Rockets took their first-round series opener with the Minnesota Timberwolves 104-101 at home, ruining the guests first playoff game since 2004.
