ARIKE STRIKES AGAIN AS HER LAST-SECOND THREE-POINTER CARRIES NOTRE DAME TO FIRST WOMEN'S NCAA ROUNDBALL TITLE SINCE '01

At Columbus, Ohio:


Arike Ogunbowale canned the game-winning three-point shot with 0.1 seconds remaining on Sunday as the Notre Dame Fighting Irish came back from a 15-point deficit and defeated the Mississippi State Bulldogs 61-58 to capture their first NCAA Women's Basketball Tournament national championship since 2001.


Miss Ogunbowale ended up scoring 18 points.


Arike was named the tournament's Most Outstanding Player.
