NBA Playoffs: Sixers, Warriors Advance; Celtics Hold Off Bucks To Take 3-2 Series Lead

Three games were contested on Tuesday as the NBA Playoffs continued.


EASTERN CONFERENCE:


At Boston:

Al Horford scored 22 points and grabbed 14 rebounds as the Boston Celtics held off the visiting Milwaukee Bucks 92-87 in game five of their conference quarterfinal series.

Khris Middleton paced the Bucks with 23 points.

The Celtics, who now lead the series three games to two, can close out the Bucks with a game-six victory in Milwaukee on Thursday (5:00 PM Pacific Time, TNT).



At Philadelphia:


J.J. Redick scored 27 points while Joel Embiid added 19 (to go with his 12 rebounds) as the Philadelphia 76ers closed out the visiting Miami Heat with their 104-91 game five victory and took their opening-round series four games to one.




WESTERN CONFERENCE:


At Oakland, California:


Kevin Durant scored 25 points while Klay Thompson added 24 and Draymond Green 17 (to go with his 19 rebounds) as the Golden State Warriors defeated the visiting San Antonio Spurs 99-91 in the fifth game of their conference quarterfinal series, which the Warriors won four games to one.

LaMarcus Aldridge topped the Spurs with 30 points while grabbing 12 rebounds.

The Warriors will open their conference semifinal series with the New Orleans Pelicans at home in Oakland on Saturday.
