Stanley Cup Playoffs: Caps, Preds (In 2 OT) Level Respective Series At 1-1

Two games were contested on Sunday as the Stanley Cup Playoffs continued.

EASTERN CONFERENCE:

At Washington:

Alexander Ovechkin, Jakub Vrana (power play), Brett Connolly, and Nicklas Backstrom (empty netter) each scored a goal while Braden Holtby saved 32 of 33 shots as the Washington Capitals squared their conference semifinal series with the Pittsburgh Penguins at one game apiece after their 4-1 game-two home win.



WESTERN CONFERENCE:

At Nashville, Tennessee:

Kevin Fiala scored the winning goal at 5:37 of the second overtime period as the Nashville Predators defeated the visiting Winnipeg Jets 5-4 in game two of their conference semifinal series, now level at one game apiece.
