The NBA Playoffs continued on Monday with two games, both in the Western Conference.
At Minneapolis:
James Harden scored 36 points (22 of them in the third quarter) while Chris Paul added 25 as the Houston Rockets overpowered the Minnesota Timberwolves 119-100 on the road in game five of their conference quarterfinal series.
Karl-Anthony Towns scored 22 points and grabbed 15 rebounds for the Wolves.
The Rockets, who lead the series three games to one, can advance to the second round with a game-five home win in Houston on Wednesday (6:30 PM Pacific Time, TNT).
At Salt Lake City:
Donovan Mitchell scored 33 points while Joe Ingles added 20 as the Utah Jazz defeated the visiting Oklahoma City Thunder 113-96 in game four of their conference quarterfinal series, which the Jazz now lead three games to one.
Paul George led the Thunder with 32 points while Russell Westbrook added 23 to go with his 14 rebounds.
Utah can close out the series with a game-five win at Oklahoma City on Wednesday (6:30 PM Pacific Time, NBA TV).
