Stanley Cup Playoffs: Canes Knock Off Islanders Again In Brooklyn For 2-0 Series Lead; Avalanche Square Series With Sharks At 1-1

The Stanley Cup Playoffs continued on Sunday with two games.

EASTERN CONFERENCE:

At Brooklyn, New York:

Third-period goals from Warren Foegele and Nino Niederreitter, scored 48 seconds apart, lifted the Carolina Hurricanes to a 2-1 game-two road win over the New York Islanders to extend their conference semifinal series lead to two games to none.



WESTERN CONFERENCE:

At San Jose, California:

Nathan MacKinnon scored the winning goal with 62 seconds remaining in regulation as the Colorado Avalanche leveled their conference semifinal series with the San Jose Sharks at one game apiece after their 4-3 game-two road triumph.
