Stanley Cup: Islanders, Jackets One Victory Away From Completing Series Sweeps; Jets Get On Winning Track In St. Louis; Knights Top Sharks For 2-1 Series Advantage

The Stanley Cup Playoffs continued on Sunday with four games.

EASTERN CONFERENCE:

At Pittsburgh:

Jordan Eberle, Brock Nelson, Leo Komarov, and Anders Lee (empty net) each scored once while Robin Lehner stopped 25 of 26 shots as the New York Islanders defeated the Pittsburgh Penguins 4-1 on the road in the third game of their conference quarterfinal series.

The Islanders, who lead the series three games to none, can complete their first playoff-series sweep since 1983 (when the took out the Edmonton Oilers for their fourth straight Stanley Cup championship) with a game four victory at Pittsburgh on Tuesday.

At Columbus, Ohio:

Matt Duchene, Oliver Bjorkstrand (power play), and Cam Atkinson (empty net) each scored once while Sergei Bobrovsky saved 30 of 31 shots as the Columbus Blue Jackets downed the visiting Tampa Bay Lightning 3-1 in game three of their series.

The Blue Jackets, who hold a three-games-to-none advantage, can complete a sweep of the series (and win a playoff series for the first time in their history) by finishing off the President's Trophy winners at home on Tuesday night.


WESTERN CONFERENCE:

At St. Louis:

Kyle Conner scored twice (once on the power play) as the Winnipeg Jets doubled up the St. Louis Blues 6-3 on the road in the third match of their conference quarterfinal series, cutting the Blues' series lead to two games to one.



At Las Vegas:

Mark Stone produced a hat trick while assisting on two other goals as the Vegas Golden Knights doubled up the visiting San Jose Sharks 6-3 on the road in game three to take a two-games-to-one series lead.
