In Wednesday's finale of the opening round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs, Brock McGinn scored the winning goal at 11:05 of the second overtime as the Carolina Hurricanes ousted the defending Stanley Cup champion Washington Capitals 4-3 in the seventh and deciding game of their Eastern Conference quarterfinal series.
The Hurricanes will travel to Brooklyn for Friday's opening game of their conference semifinal series with the New York Islanders.
