NBA Playoffs: Nuggets Hold Off Spurs To Win Series (Will Get Blazers Next); Raptors Take Series Opener From 76ers

The NBA Playoffs continued on Saturday with two games.

EASTERN CONFERENCE:

At Toronto:

In the opening contest of the playoffs' second round, Kawhi Leonard scored 45 points and grabbed 11 rebounds while Pascal Siakam added 29 points as the Toronto Raptors downed the visiting Philadelphia 76ers 108-95 in game one of their conference semifinal series.


WESTERN CONFERENCE:

At Denver:

In the final contest of the playoffs' opening round, Jamal Murray scored 23 points while Nikola Jokic contributed a triple double (21 points, 15 rebounds, and 10 assists) as the Denver Nuggets held off the visiting San Antonio Spurs 90-86 in the seventh and deciding game of their conference quarterfinal series, which the Nuggets won, four games to three.

Rudy Gay came off the bench to top the Spurs with 21 points.

The Nuggets will host the Portland Trail Blazers on Monday in the opening contest of a conference semifinal series.
