Stanley Cup Playoffs: Hurricanes Top Caps To Square Series At 2-2; Blues Score Late To Take 3-2 Series Lead Over Jets; Sharks Stay Alive By Topping Knights

Three games were contested in the Stanley Cup Playoffs on Thursday.

EASTERN CONFERENCE:

At Raleigh, North Carolina:

Teuvo Teravainen scored the winning goal with 28 seconds remaining as the Carolina Hurricanes leveled their conference quarterfinal series with the Washington Capitals at two games apiece after their 2-1 game-four home victory.


WESTERN CONFERENCE:

At Winnipeg, Manitoba:

Ryan O'Reilly (power play), Brayden Schenn, and Jaden Schwartz (with 15 seconds remaining) each scored a third-period goal as the St. Louis Blues erased a two-goal deficit to upend the Winnipeg Jets 3-2 on the road in the fifth game of their opening-round series.

The Blues, who lead the series three games to two, can finish off the Jets with a game-six win at home on Saturday.

The road team has won every game in this series thus far.

At San Jose, California:

Thomas Hertl scored twice (once on the power play) as the San Jose Sharks avoided elimination by dominating the visiting Vegas Golden Knights 5-2 in game two of their first-round series.

The Golden Knights, who still lead three games to two, can still close out the series with a game-six home victory in Las Vegas on Sunday.
