NBA Playoffs: Raptors, 76ers, Blazers Close Out Respective Series; Nuggets Hold Off Spurs To Take 3-2 Series Lead

Four games were contested in the NBA Playoffs on Tuesday.

EASTERN CONFERENCE:

At Toronto:

Kawhi Leonard scored 27 points while Pascal Saikam added 24 as the Toronto Raptors downed the visiting Orlando Magic 115-96 in game five of their conference quarterfinal series, which the Raptors won four games to one.

At Philadelphia:

Joel Embiid scored 23 points and grabbed 13 rebounds as the Philadelphia 76ers closed out their series with the Brooklyn with a 122-100 triumph in game five at home as the Sixers took the series four games to one.


WESTERN CONFERENCE:

At Denver:

Jamal Murray scored 23 points as the Denver Nuggets took a three-games-to-two conference quarterfinal series lead after their 108-90 game five home victory over the San Antonio Spurs.

The Nuggets can close out the series with a game-six win in San Antonio on Thursday.

At Portland, Oregon:

Damian Lillard, who set a franchise playoff record by scoring 50 points, sank the game-winning three-point bucket at the buzzer as the Portland Trail Blazers, who trailed by 15 points at the start of the fourth quarter, upended the visiting Oklahoma City Thunder 118-115 in game five of their quarterfinal series, which the Blazers won four games to one.

Paul George scored 36 points (and grabbed nine rebounds) while Russell Westbrook added 29 (to go with his 14 assists and 11 rebounds) to pace the Thunder.

Portland will take on the winner of the Denver-San Antonio series, which the Nuggets lead three games to two.
