The quarterfinal round of the West Coast Conference Men's Basketball Tournament took place on Saturday at the Orleans Arena in Paradise, Nevada with four games.
In the opener, Elijah Bryant and Yoeli Childs combined to score 49 points as the #3-seeded BYU Cougars (23-9) defeated sixth-seeded San Diego (18-13) 85-79.
Isaiah Pineiro scored 21 points and Olin Carter III added 20 to pace the Toreros.
In game two, Killian Tillie scored 24 points while Jonathan Williams added 20 as the top-seeded Gonzaga Bulldogs (ranked #7 in both the Associated Press and USA Today/Coaches polls; 28-4) downed the eighth-seeded Loyola Marymount Lions (11-20) 83-69.
In the third contest, Frankie Ferrari scored 17 points as the fifth-seeded San Francisco Dons (18-14) held off the sixth-seeded Pacific Tigers (14-18) 71-70 in overtime.
Jordan Ratinho converted five three-pointers en route to a 20-point performance for the Dons as he topped USF in scoring.
Miles Reynolds paced the Tigers with 20 points.
In the finale, Jock Landale scored 19 points and grabbed 19 rebounds as the second-seeded Saint Mary's Gaels (#20 in the USA Today/Coaches poll, #22 in the Associated Press rankings; 28-4) overcame an early 15-point deficit to upend the tenth-seeded Pepperdine Waves (6-26) 69-66.
Jordan Ford also scored 19 points for the Gaels.
The winners will advance to Monday's semifinal round.
