Red Bulls Prove To Be Too Much For Timbers

At Harrison, New Jersey:

Carlos Rivas scored twice in the second half (79', 90'+2) as the New York Red Bulls, in their Major League Soccer season opener on Saturday night, demolished the visiting Portland Timbers 4-0.

Ben Mines (18') and Bradley Wright-Phillips (77') each also scored once for the Red Bulls.

The Timbers, still in search of their first win of the season, will pay a visit on FC Dallas on Saturday, March 24 at 12:30 PM Pacific Daylight Saving Time (Univision).
