The Big Sky Conference Men's Basketball Tournament's quarterfinal round took place on Thursday with four games contested at the Reno Events Center in Reno, Nevada.
In the opening contest of the day, Ahmaad Rorie scored 30 points (22 of them in the second half) as the top-seeded Montana Grizzlies (24-7) held off the eighth-seeded North Dakota Fighting Hawks (12-20) 84-76.
In what turned out to be their final Big Sky Conference basketball game, the Fighting Hawks (who are moving to the Summit League next season) were paced by Dale Jones who scored 24 points, and Cortez Seales, who added 22.
In game two, Andre Spight scored 25 points and Jonah Radebaugh added 20 as the fifth-seeded Northern Colorado Bears (22-11) knocked off the fourth-seeded Weber State Wildcats (20-11) 80-55.
In the third contest, Brandon Better scored a career-high 27 points while Jadon Cohee added 20 as the tenth-seeded Southern Utah Thunderbirds (13-18) knocked off the second-seeded Idaho Vandals (22-9) 92-78.
Brayon Blake topped the Vandals with 27 points while he grabbed 12 rebounds.
In Wednesday's finale, Bogdan Bliznyuk scored 35 points as the third-seeded Eastern Washington Eagles (19-13) held off the sixth-seeded Portland State Vikings (20-13) 78-72.
