NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament: Tigers, 'Cuse Advance; Will Face Musketeers, Horned Frogs, Respectively

At Dayton, Ohio:

The First Four portion of the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament concluded on Wednesday as the University of Dayton Arena.

Game #1:

Damontrae Jefferson scored 25 points as the Texas Southern Tigers (16-19), a team that started the season 0-13,  picked up their first-ever NCAA Tourney win, 64-46 over North Carolina Central (19-16).

The Tigers, who became the first team with a losing record to win a tournament game, will be the #16 seed in the West Regional and take on top-seeded Xavier on Friday at Nashville (4:20 PM Pacific Time, TBS).

Game #2:

Oshae Brissett scored 23 points and grabbed 12 rebounds as Syracuse (21-13) knocked off Arizona State (20-12) 60-56.

The Orangemen will be the #11 seed in the Midwest Regional and will face sixth-seeded TCU on Friday in Detroit (6:40 PM Pacific Time, CBS).
