Four Friday games are on tap in the Midwest Regional of the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament.
At Detroit (Little Caesar's Arena):
Game #1:
Miles Bridges scored 29 points (and grabbed nine rebounds) while Joshua Langford added 22 for good measure as the third-seeded Michigan State Spartans (30-4) outlasted the fourteenth-seeded Bucknell Bison (25-10) 82-78.
Zach Thomas paced the Bison with 27 points while Stephen Brown added 20 to the Bucknell coffers.
Game #2:
Marek Dolezaj scored 17 points as the 11th-seeded Syracuse Orangemen (22-13) held off the sixth-seeded TCU Horned Frogs (21-12) 57-52.
At San Diego (Viejas Arena):
Game #1:
Mustapha Heron scored 15 points to carry the fourth-seeded Auburn Tigers (26-7) to a 62-58 victory over the College of Charleston (26-8).
Jarrell Brantley topped the Cougars with 24 points.
Game #2:
Shelton Mitchell scored 23 points while Gabe DeVoe added 22 as the fifth-seeded Clemson Tigers (24-9) outdistanced the 12th-seeded New Mexico State Aggies (28-6) 79-68.
Zach Lofton topped the Aggies with 29 points.
