Big Sky Conference Tournament: Griz, Eagles Advance To Title Game

The semifinal round of the Big Sky Conference Men's Basketball Tournament took place on Friday with both games taking place at the Reno Events Center in----where else?---Reno, Nevada.

Game #1

Michael Oguine scored 19 points as the top-seeded Montana Grizzlies (25-7) outlasted the fifth-seeded Northern Colorado Bears (22-11) 91-89 in overtime.

Andre Spight paced the Bears with 22 points.

Game #2

Bogdan Bliznyuk scored 32 points (to become the Big Sky Conference's all-time career scoring leader at 2,127 points) as the third-seeded Eastern Washington Eagles (20-13) defeated the tenth-seeded Southern Utah Thunderbirds (13-19) 82-70.

The Griz and EWU will square off in Saturday's championship game, set to tipoff at 5:00 PM Pacific Time (ESPNU), with the winner gaining the conference's automatic (and likely lone) NCAA Tournament berth.
