At Pullman, Washington:
Malachi Flynn scored 28 points while grabbing eight rebounds and dishing out five assists on Thursday as the Washington State Cougars (12-17 overall, 4-13 in Pac-12 play) delivered a crippling blow to what chances the Oregon Ducks (19-11, 9-8)might have of appearing in a sixth straight NCAA Tournament with their 78-76 home victory.
Robert Franks added 19 points to the Cougs' coffers.
The Ducks (led by Elijah Brown's 18 points) may now have to win the Pac-12 Conference Tournament next week to reach another NCAA Tourney.
