Stanley Cup Playoffs: Rangers Top Penguins In Pittsburgh To Stay Alive; Wild Top Blackhawks At Home To Square Series At 2-2

The Stanley Cup Playoffs continued on Friday with two games.

EASTERN CONFERENCE:

At Pittsburgh:

Derick Brassard scored twice as the New York Rangers avoided elimination by defeating the Pittsburgh Penguins 5-1 in game five of their conference semifinal series.  The Penguins, who still lead the series three games to two, can still finish off the Rangers with a game-six victory in New York on Sunday.



WESTERN CONFERENCE:

At St. Paul, Minnesota:

Justin Fontaine, Jason Pominville, Nino Niederreiter, and Jared Spurgeon (Power Play) each scored a goal as the Minnesota Wild squared their conference semifinal series with the Chicago Blackhawks at two games apiece following their 4-2 game-four home victory.
