Stanley Cup Playoffs: Bruins Take 3-2 Series Lead Over Habs; Ducks Square Series With Kings At 2-2, Reclaim Home-Ice Advantage

The Stanley Cup Playoffs continued with two Saturday contests.

EASTERN CONFERENCE:

At Boston:

Reilly Smith and Jerome Iginla each scored a second-period power-play goal 32 seconds apart as the Boston Bruins defeated the visiting Montreal Canadiens 4-2 in game five of their conference semifinal series.  The Bruins, who lead the series three games to two, can finish off the Habs with a game-six victory in Montreal on Monday.



WESTERN CONFERENCE:

At Los Angeles:

John Gibson, in his first Stanley Cup Playoff start, saved all 28 shots while Devante Smith-Pelly and Ryan Getzlaf (Power Play) each scored a first-period goal as the Anaheim Ducks reclaimed home-ice advantage in their conference semifinal series with the Los Angeles Kings as they squared the "Freeway Series" at two games apiece following their 2-0 game-four road triumph.
