Stanley Cup Playoffs: Habs Bury Bruins, Force Game Seven; Ducks Hold Off Kings At Home, Take 3-2 "Freeway Series" Advantage

The Stanley Cup Playoffs continued on Monday with two games.


EASTERN CONFERENCE:

At Montreal:

Thomas Vanek scored twice---once on a power play---while Carey Price saved all 26 shots as the Montreal Canadiens dominated the visiting Boston Bruins 4-0 in game six of their conference semifinal series, now tied at three games apiece, which will decided on Wednesday in Boston.



WESTERN CONFERENCE:

At Anaheim, California:

Devante Smith-Pelly scored twice during an 83-second stretch in the second period---once on a power play----as the Anaheim Ducks held off the visiting Los Angeles Kings 4-3 in game five of their conference semifinal series.  After the first victory in this "Freeway Series" by the home team, the Ducks, who now lead three games to two, can close out the Kings with a game-six win in Los Angeles on Wednesday night.
