NBA Playoffs: Wizards, Clippers Grab Series-Opening Wins On Road

The second round of the NBA Playoffs commenced on Monday with two games.

EASTERN CONFERENCE:

At Indianapolis:

Bradley Beal scored 24 points and Trevor Ariza added 22 as the Washington Wizards knocked off the Indiana Pacers 102-96 in the opening game of their conference semifinal series on the road.  It was the first victory in a second-round series game since 1982 for the Wizards, who are currently 4-0 on the road in the playoffs.



WESTERN CONFERENCE:

At Oklahoma City:

Chris Paul scored 32 points, 24 of them on a career-high three-point buckets (while dishing out ten assists) as the Los Angeles Clippers opened their conference semifinal series with a 122-105 road victory over the Oklahoma City Thunder.  Blake Griffin added 23 points to the Clippers' coffers.  Russell Westbrook scored 29 points and newly-crowned NBA Most Valuable Player Kevin Durant added 25 to pace the Thunder.
