In the lone Wednesday Major League Soccer contest Fanendo Adi scored twice (65', 71') while Donovan Ricketts picked up his (and his team's) first shutout of the season as the Portland Timbers won their second consecutive game (and stretched their unbeaten run to six games) as they blanked Chivas USA 2-0 on the road.
The Timbers will host the Vancouver Whitecaps (whom they now trail by one point for the final Western Conference playoff berth) in a Cascadia Cup clash this coming Sunday at 6:00 PM Pacific Time (ROOT Sports Northwest).
